When Tyler Roberts arrived at Elland Road, it was seen as a coup. An attack-minded forward who could play in numerous roles, had international experience, and had also played in the top-flight. However, since his arrival in Yorkshire, the 22-year-old has flattered to deceive in many ways. Intermittent runs of impressive form are often interspersed with runs of little return for his effort. Though a hard worker and a fiery presence on the pitch, it is clear that Roberts might lack the killer instinct needed at Premier League level.

Despite having a strong and energetic team, they are often caught in attacking positions and run the risk of conceding easy goals. This has become a common talking point for the clubs fans, and a point of frustration among the support. However, a solution could arrive in the summer in the form of a player long linked with the Premier League. Like many talents, he was courted by the biggest clubs in the country, eventually signing for Chelsea. The move barely was a success, though, as the Englishman spent year after year on loan at various clubs, eventually winding up making a permanent move away from the club in search of first-team football.

Seen as a bright talent with the chance to win senior international caps, Costa made the move fully expecting to break into the first-team sooner rather than later. However, despite some moments of class, he failed to make the move to Wolves count. Playing occasionally for the club as they broke into the top flight and made a name for themselves under Nuno Espirito Santo, Costa was soon on the move again – loaned to Leeds United.
